Bachelor Alum Jason Mesnick Gives Wife Molly Her Own Neil Lane Ring (EXCLUSIVE PHOTO)
There are a few things we’ve come to count on during each season of The Bachelor, from fantasy suite dates to hot tub hijinks. Another sure-thing? The arrival of Neil Lane, L.A. jeweler and ABC’s go-to Santa Claus, who comes bearing a sparkling collection of diamond engagement rings for the season’s suitor to peruse before giving his top pick at the final rose ceremony.
“It’s so cool to think of these wonderful women from all the shows over the years wearing my rings,” the L.A. designer told PEOPLE. “I’ve even heard some of them joke around and sweetly call it the Neil Lane club!”

But one contestant, season 13 runner-up Molly Malaney, was left out of the club, despite finding love with that season’s star, Jason Mesnick (a quickie refresher: Mesnick gave the final rose — and the ring — to Melissa Rycroft, but soon realized he was actually in love with Molly, whom he went on to marry on Feb. 27, 2010).

“Molly was the only one who didn’t have a ring of mine and Jason really wanted to change that,” said Lane, who designed a gorgeous 2.5 carat sparkler that Mesnick gave Molly on Friday, as a surprise for their fifth wedding anniversary.
Set in platinum with a rose gold band, the ring is decorated with a central oval-cut stone surrounded by a double halo of 160 round diamonds. “Molly is very sweet and feminine and the rose gold is so romantic,” added the celebrity jeweler. “They’re one of the nicest, sweetest couples I know and he’s madly in love with her. This was such a sweet way to celebrate their love and marriage.”

Mesnick, for one, couldn’t be happier. “I am just beyond thrilled that Molly finally gets her Neil Lane ring!” Mesnick told PEOPLE. “Women who receive a ring from him on The Bachelor — or away from the show — know how truly fortunate they are. I am [so happy] to be able to give Molly this ring for our five year anniversary.”
