Stephen Fishbach's Survivor Blog: A 'Gimme' Elimination and ... Monkey Sex Stories?

Survivor Worlds Apart: Stephen Fishbach Blogs Episode 3, Nina Eliminated

"When people have the same problem, it's easy to bring them together." –Malcolm Freberg, Survivor: Caramoan

It's a rare gift on Survivor when a vote is a gimme.

When you're competing on the show, every vote seems punctuated by a question mark. Do you keep the challenge beast who's in the other alliance? Do you hold on to your loyal ally who's annoying everybody around you?

Thank the blogging gods for that confusion. That ambiguity is what gives me something to analyze and critique every week.

But, as a contestant, it's frustrating to know that your shot at a million dollars could be riding on one arbitrary decision.

So when you find someone who is bad in challenges, doesn't fit in with the tribe, and who voted against your alliance at the last tribal council – you don't question the Survivor fates.

Nina was the opposite of a triple threat. She was a social, physical, and strategic liability. In fact, she was quadruply dangerous because, if Nina were to make it to the merge or a swap, she could easily have coasted to the end.

Gorgeous Joe and the Girls took the layup and voted her out. Even the producers barely pretended that Will was a viable alternate boot. There was some hand waving about his health, but it was obvious that Nina was the one going home.

Last episode, Nina had a chance to take control of her tribe with Vince and Will. But she made one wrong remark to Will, and three days later her torch was snuffed.

It's a tough game.

White Collar

Poor Shirin.

Shirin just wanted to share her tales of monkey sex , but nobody wanted to listen.

Was anybody else reminded of the nerdy girl in high school who just couldn't fit in? When Joaquin told her he doesn't like her, she tried to start a discussion about why not.

But you can never debate your way into a friendship.

The Fishy this week goes to Joaquin and Tyler, who are forming a bond the classic way: by deriding everyone around them.

Joaquin was in a dangerous spot after the first episode. So's obvious lie about the idol clue blew up in his face, and he quickly saw his top ally voted out of the game.

But Joaquin has faded into the background and bro-bonded with Tyler while Max and Shirin have made themselves bigger, nakeder targets.

When Joaquin shared his idol clue, the good faith gesture brought Tyler and him closer together.

Tyler, for his part, was able to recognize the gesture's importance – without revealing that he actually knew the idol's whereabouts.

Tyler is in the best position on White Collar and, along with Gorgeous Joe, in one of the strongest positions in the game.

Blue Collar

When Jeff Probst introduced the season's twist, he said that Blue Collar people "follow the rules."

Not this tribe.

Bossy Mike desperately needed wood and nobody could give him enough. Lindsey and Sierra were worn out from giving Mike wood all the time. Rodney would get wood, but not right when he woke up. Rodney hates morning wood.

Meanwhile, the Blue Collar tribe was so fixated on wood, they couldn't stop shooting off at the mouth. Lindsey insulted Mike's god. Dan insulted Rodney's mother.

Dan has done a great job of reintegrating himself into the tribe. He can be tone-deaf in the moment, but unlike Mike he is able to see how his words affect the tribe.

A nice good tribal council would be good for Blue Collar. They could vote out the troublemakers who are stressing them out (i.e. Mike).

Sometimes you need a clean burn to encourage new growth.

But for now, the Blue Collar tribe is a tinderbox.

Literally.

Survivor: Worlds Apart airs Wednesdays (8 p.m. ET) on CBS.

Meet the American Idol Top 12

American Idol 2015: Top 12 Cheat Sheet
Here they are America, your Top 12!

After weeks of auditions and hard cuts by the judges, American Idol has revealed final 12 contestants.

But who has what it takes to actually become the fourteenth winner of the Fox reality series?

PEOPLE breaks down the contestants:

Meet the American Idol Top 12| American Idol

Quentin Alexander

Michael Becker / FOX

QUENTIN ALEXANDER, 21
Hometown: New Orleans, Louisiana
Audition City: New Orleans
Audition Song: "Royals", originally performed by Lorde
Why He Might Win: The Big Easy's own Harry Connick, Jr. has said that Alexander encapsulates the music scene of his hometown and his unique fashion and song choices certainly make him stand out from the crowd.
Why He Might Not: After an impressive first audition, Alexander has had a slow burn on the show with solid but quiet performances. And some viewers may not connect with his fearless fashions.

Meet the American Idol Top 12| American Idol

Clark Beckham

Michael Becker / FOX

CLARK BECKHAM, 22
Hometown: White House, Tennessee
Audition City: Nashville
Audition Song: "It's a Man's, Man's, Man's World", originally performed by James Brown
Why He Might Win: Beckham is an experienced street performer who has already released his own EP. Having taught himself the guitar at the age of 12 and the piano at age 15, he's got a lot of ways to entertain the crowd aside from his bluesy vocals. Plus, there's that smile.
Why He Might Not: Beckham has not always gotten the best critiques from the judges, especially Connick, Jr., who didn't even think Beckham was ready to get a golden ticket to Hollywood.

Meet the American Idol Top 12| American Idol

Joey Cook

Michael Becker / FOX

JOEY COOK, 23
Hometown: Woodbridge, Virginia
Audition City: Kansas City
Audition Song: "King of Spain", originally performed by The Tallest Man on Earth
Why She Might Win: Cook definitely stands out in the crowd with her hair-of-a-different-color and quirky personality. Both her style and singing voice are reminiscent of another Fox talent, New Girl's Zooey Deschanel.
Why She Might Not: Cook's adorkableness her mission to make sure accordions become known for "more than just polka music" will immediately endear her to some but not others.

Meet the American Idol Top 12| American Idol

Sarina-Joi Crowe

Michael Becker / FOX

SARINA-JOI CROWE, 19
Hometown: Columbia, Tennessee
Audition City: Kansas City
Audition Song: "Love Runs Out", originally by OneRepublic
Why She Might Win: Crowe has the pipes of a Motown diva and the bubbly personality of someone you want to be your best friend. In other words, she's everything a classic Idol fan is looking for in a frontrunner.
Why She Might Not: Honestly, she's yet to stumble. But this would not be the first time Crowe was eliminated from the competition. This was Crowe's fourth time auditioning for Idol. Last season, she was eliminated at the Green Mile.

Meet the American Idol Top 12| American Idol

Adanna Duru

Michael Becker / FOX

ADANNA DURU, 18
Hometown: Diamond Bar, California
Audition City: San Francisco
Audition Song: "You and I", originally performed by Lady Gaga
Why She Might Win: The experienced singer has already weathered the stresses of a reality competition as a contestant on NBC's The Voice and has proven she is willing to take risks and change up songs to create interesting performances. Plus, Duru was personally selected by the judges to be put in the Top 12 as a wildcard.
Why She Might Not: As a wildcard, Duru was not voted into the Top 12 by America and therefore might not have the fan base necessary to make it to the finale. Then again, season 2 finalist Clay Aiken was a wildcard.

Meet the American Idol Top 12| American Idol

Nick Fradiani

Michael Becker / FOX

NICK FRADIANI, 29
Hometown: Guilford, Connecticut
Audition City: Brooklyn
Audition Song: "In Your Eyes", originally performed by Peter Gabriel
Why He Might Win: Fradiani previously competed with his band Beach Avenue on NBC's America's Got Talent and now he has gone solo with his Adam Levine-esque good looks and cool, rocker swagger that is sure to get the audience swooning.
Why He Might Not: Fradiani is the most experienced of the Top 12 contestants, but that is because he is the oldest – by many years. Younger Idol voters may not easily identify with the 29-year-old.

Meet the American Idol Top 12| American Idol

Jackie "Jax" Cole

Michael Becker / FOX

JACKIE "JAX" COLE, 18
Hometown: East Brunswick, New Jersey
Audition City: Brooklyn
Audition Song: "I Want to Hold Your Hand", originally performed by The Beatles
Why She Might Win: The teenager already has a rabid fan base complete with a name (" The Jax Pax") and a symbol (crossing their forearms into an X). And she has the musicality to back-up the adoration.
Why She Might Not: Cole's face bling and alternative image is part of why some viewers love her, but it could also cost her some potential votes.

Meet the American Idol Top 12| American Idol

Tyanna Jones

Michael Becker / FOX

TYANNA JONES, 16Hometown: Jacksonville, Florida
Audition City: San Francisco
Audition Song: "Wings", originally performed by Little Mix
Why She Might Win: Jones has a voice with a richness far beyond her 16 years. And her youthful energy is infectious.
Why She Might Not: Her energy (and nerves) often results in performances that can come off a little wild. She'll need to learn to rein in and harness her power if she wants to take the title.

Meet the American Idol Top 12| American Idol

Qaasim Middleton

Michael Becker / FOX

QAASIM MIDDLETON, 19
Hometown: Brooklyn, New York
Audition City: Brooklyn
Audition Song: "Sir Duke", originally performed by Stevie Wonder
Why He Might Win: Middleton is the showman of the group. Audiences have come to expect a high-energy, crowd-pleasing performance from him – and he has yet to disappoint.
Why He Might Not: The judges have already asked Middleton to show a different side of his talents and to choose songs that actually show off his vocal abilities rather than just his showmanship.

Meet the American Idol Top 12| American Idol

Rayvon Owen

Michael Becker / FOX

RAYVON OWEN, 23
Hometown: Richmond, Virginia
Audition City: San Francisco
Audition Song: "Wide Awake", originally performed by Katy Perry
Why He Might Win: With his silky smooth voice and range for days, Owen might have the most commercially viable sound among his fellow male contestants. Also, it's already evident he can write a catchy tune!
Why He Might Not: Though Owen is clearly gifted, his quietness may get lost among the more boisterous performers.

Meet the American Idol Top 12| American Idol

Daniel Seavey

Michael Becker / FOX

DANIEL SEAVEY, 15
Hometown: Vancouver, Washington
Audition City: San Francisco
Audition Song: "Hallelujah", originally performed by Jeff Buckley and "Straight Up", originally performed by Paula Abdul
Why He Might Win: The young girls in the audience go CRAZY for this talented – and adorable – teen. And though he is only 15, Seavey has already mastered multiple instruments and has been diligently working on his vocals as his voice changes.
Why He Might Not: Throughout the audition process, the judges frequently debated whether Seavey is old enough to handle the competition. Connick, Jr. is always quick to point out that Seavey does not have the same polish as his older competitors.

Meet the American Idol Top 12| American Idol

Maddie Walker

Michael Becker / FOX

MADDIE WALKER, 17
Hometown: Ankeny, Iowa
Audition City: Brooklyn
Audition Song: "Suitcase", originally performed by Gwen Sebastian
Why She Might Win: Walker has the unusual distinction of being the only country artist in the Top 12. This gives her a built-in fan base but she has the vocal chops to earn their votes and isn't afraid to tackle other genres, which will serve her well as the competition goes forward.
Why She Might Not: The judges had Walker do a sing-off against another contestant and she barely won out. And the judges eliminated her last season because of inexperience. Has she grown enough over the past year to win the whole thing?

American Idol airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.

Tony Bennett Signs Up to Sing at Lady Gaga's Wedding to "Very Wonderful Man" Taylor Kinney

Taylor Kinney, Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett

Not such a bad romance! As previously reported, Lady Gaga is set to marry her love Taylor Kinney, and the singer's collaborator Tony Bennett is thrilled with the nuptials.

"She’s marrying a very wonderful man, very talented and very handsome," Bennett, 88, told The New York Post's Page Six of Gaga and her actor love. "I think he’s going be highly successful in films. He’s a very nice person."

Chicago Fire star Kinney, 33, has been dating Mother Monster, 28, since 2011 after meeting on the set of her "You and I" video, and popped the question last month on Valentine's Day. Gaga has been sporting a massive, heart-shaped diamond engagement ring on her finger ever since.

While the newly engaged lovebirds have yet to announce a wedding date, they've already booked one very famous performer for their ceremony.

"They invited me to do it and, of course, I will," Bennett told Page Six of singing at the wedding where his Cheek to Cheek collaborator will say "I do." As to what kind of wedding the couple will throw? "All I know is, knowing Lady Gaga, it will be fabulous," teased the jazz crooner.

In a move that surprised many fans, Lady Gaga first teamed up with Bennett in 2011 to record a rendition of "The Lady Is a Tramp." The duet inspired the duo's Grammy-winning 2014 jazz record, and even an ongoing series of shows as a part of the Cheek to Cheek Tour.

Gaga has been outspoken about her love and admiration for the veteran performer, who came into her life at a time when she was struggling with her pop superstardom following poor critical and commercial reception to 2013's ARTPOP and general backlash.

"I was so sad," she told Parade this past September of the time in her life. "I couldn’t sleep. I felt dead. And then I spent a lot of time with Tony. He wanted nothing but my friendship and my voice... The other day, Tony said, 'I’ve never once in my career not wanted to do this,' It stung. Six months ago I didn't feel that way. I tell Tony every day that he saved my life."

Accused Boston Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's Own Words Read Aloud in Court

Accused Boston Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's Own Words Read Aloud in Court
In the moments before he was arrested on April 19, 2013, accused Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev used a pencil to scrawl on the inside of a boat parked behind a home in Watertown, Massachusetts.

Nearly two years later, those writings – riddled with bullet holes and stained with blood – were introduced in federal court as evidence in the murder case against him.

Tsarnaev addressed the loss of his brother, Tamerlan, who had died in a police shootout earlier that day. "I do not mourn because his soul is very much alive," the message said. "God has a plan for each person. Mine was to hide in his boat and shed some light on our actions."

According to photographs and transcripts, the message included anti-American sentiments, accusing the U.S. of "killing our innocent civilians."

"I can't stand to see so much evil go unpunished," he wrote. "We Muslims are one body, you hurt one you hurt us all"

The 12-member jury saw photos of the message. Judge George O’Toole Jr. is still trying to decide how jurors can see the message in person. Prosecutors want to cut out panels of the boat to display in the courtroom. The defense would rather bring the entire boat to the courthouse and allow jurors to view it outside.

Tsarnaev is on trial for the April 15, 2013, bombing that killed 3 people and injured more than 260 others. He has pleaded not guilty.

The trial is will continue on Wednesday and is expected to continue for several more weeks.

Did Kate Give a Clue About Her Baby's Sex?

Kate Middleton Baby Sex: Seen Shopping For Girls' Clothes
The royal men have made their feelings known, with Prince Charles saying he would like a granddaughter, and Prince William favoring a girl before Prince George was born.

Now, has Princess Kate given a hint they might be getting their wish?

She went shopping in one of her favorite stores, Amaia, in Chelsea, London, and was drawn to the girls' clothes, observers said.

"She was very interested," co-owner Segolene Tresca tells PEOPLE. "Every mum that comes in the shop, they look for boys but they always end up looking at the girls stuff too. We all hope it's a little girl because it will be so cute, they will be like a little couple."

With royal watchers buzzing in the run-up to her April due date, some even fastened onto the fact that Kate, 33, wore baby pink for the service at Westminster Abbey to mark Commonwealth Day Monday.

British bookmakers are getting in on the act – with William Hill saying Tuesday that Elizabeth tops the charts of heavily backed names. Charlotte and Alexandra have also been high in the charts.

The couple has said that they don't know the sex, and William told President Obama in December that they are excitedly waiting for a surprise.

For Rupert Adams, spokesman at bookmakers William Hill, the chatter continues. "The money is all saying a girl – I don't know if people are looking at stats or just wishing it for the perfect family of a boy and a girl," he says.

Meanwhile, Kate – who after a difficult first trimester is now feeling and looking "marvelous," a friend says – is staying mum.

Bachelor Chris Soules: 'Whitney Bischoff Is My Soulmate'

The Bachelor Finale: Chris Soules Proposes to Whitney Bischoff
It would seem like an enviable dilemma, but for Chris Soules, falling in love with a trio of beautiful women on The Bachelor made his final decision all the more challenging.

"It would have been easier had there not been so many great women," Soules tells PEOPLE of his strong feelings for the final three ladies. "It was a very difficult decision to be in."

As viewers saw Monday, the farmer, 33, said goodbye to runner-up Becca Tilley, choosing instead to propose to outgoing fertility nurse Whitney Bischoff.

"Becca is in a different place in her life compared to where I am. That doesn't make it a bad thing, and it didn't change how I felt about her, but it's about trying to find the person that you can see in your life and that you have the best chance of making it work forever with," he tells PEOPLE. "My sister said, 'You're not looking for a girlfriend, you're looking for a wife.' That's the truth."

So how does he know Bischoff is the one?

"She was the person I could see myself with," Soules explains. "Whitney is my soulmate. It became even more clear at the end. It just felt right."

Now, the betrothed couple, who have communicated in secret since the finale's taping in November, can finally come clean about their relationship.

"I'm relieved that this is over," Bischoff, 29, says. "I'm looking forward to the life that we're going to start. I think a lot of great things are going to happen."

Bischoff plans to relocate to Soules' hometown of Arlington, Iowa, where the pair one day hope to start a family. "I'm ready to be a dad," says Soules. "I'm 33. I think I'm past due!"

As for the wedding plans? They're taking it "step by step," Bischoff says. "I don't think you can put a time limit on something like that. When we feel it, it will happen." Adds Soules: "We had this great love story that now we get to build upon and start a new love story in real life."

Lady Gaga Models Red, Blonde, and Brunette Hair Colors During 72 Hours in Paris: See Her Hair Color Journey!

Lady Gaga poses in front of the 'Yves Saint Laurent' store on March 7.

Lady in red—and blonde and brunette!

Lady Gaga enjoyed an extremely glam fashion week fall 2015 in Paris over the weekend, where she debuted a hair color she rarely rocks (and we know she's rocked many!): strawberry blonde.

The "Applause" singer, 28, who's already having a banner year thanks to both her engagement and standout Oscars performance, modeled light scarlet tresses, styled into loose waves, while exiting the Saint Laurent store on the stylish Avenue Montaigne on Saturday, March 7.

Adding even more retro refinement to her look, Gaga wore a long-sleeved, polka-dotted jumpsuit, which she paired with a wide-brimmed ivory hat.

Of course, it was just one in a number of chic appearances for the star at Fashion Week! On March 6, Gaga, who, it was just announced, is joining the upcoming season of American Horror Story, tried a '20s-inspired brunette updo at the Balenciaga fashion show.

While at that event, Gaga modeled two elegant designs: a slitted LBD, embellished with a B-topped (for Balenciaga) pin, and a floral dress with a beaded bodice.

The day before that, Gaga jumped decades again—to the '80s! The "Born This Way" songstress stepped out with bouncy, blonde curls, which she teamed with two perfectly throwback ensembles: an off-the-shoulder black top with a white mini, and an all-black outfit with pops of neon pink.

Which hair color do you think suits Gaga best? Tweet with @UsWeekly using the hashtag #stylebyUs!

Shailene Woodley: It Was Difficult to Get Back Into Playing Tris in Insurgent

Shailene Woodley Interview About Insurgent
Shailene Woodley acquired a "been there, done that" mentality going into the Divergent sequel, Insurgent, but she quickly realized that some extra new effort was required.

"Getting back into Tris was much more difficult than I anticipated because I didn’t take into account that I, myself, had grown for a year," Woodley told reporters during Friday's press day for the new film in Los Angeles.

"I figured getting back into [Tris] would be simple because I would just go back into that mindset, but my personal mindset had progressed a year in evolution," she says.

While playing Tris again may have been a challenge, the actress, 23, couldn't wait to get back to doing her own stunts.

"[In] the first movie, we did a lot of choreography and fight training, and this one was basic sort of fitness – there wasn’t anything too intense," says Woodley, who jumped from a moving train in the first movie and this time had to learn how to climb her way up onto a flying house in Insurgent

And if you're wondering how she – and maybe four or five other short-haired – pulled this off?

"We were on wires and we would slide down, and there was one where it was almost a 90-degree angle," Woodley says.

"I was like, 'If I don’t grab this pole, I’m not going to get hurt, but I’m going to be dangling in the air and probably get a really bad wedgie,' so that was pretty fun," she adds with a laugh.

When you're as beautiful as Woodley, finding equally handsome on-screen lovers could get a bit tricky, but Theo James – who plays her boyfriend, Four, fit into that role perfectly.

"One of the reasons [Tris and Four] fell in love so deeply was because [their relationship] was grounded in truth and respect and authenticity, and it wasn’t based on surface level or physical attraction or infatuation," says Woodley.

"It’s great to have a platform for, not only younger girls, but for everyone to recognize that relationships can be based in truth and be vulnerable, and that keeping somebody at arms length [is a personal defense] to protect our own inner vulnerabilities – not because of anything that they’re doing," she adds.

James, 30, couldn't agree more, telling reporters that he "likes the fact that they have mutual respect for one another."

He adds: "Her femininity doesn't detract from his masculinity, and the other way around."

Visit her site or follow her on Twitter @erinoprea. Then come back to PEOPLE.com every Thursday to master a new workout move.

Instead of your typical plank, all you need to create a strong core is just a little help from a big medicine ball.

There are all kinds of reasons you may not want to put your hands on the floor for planks; getting your hands dirty, the ground is cold, the TV is positioned too high, it’s too easy and stable. But all of these can be overcome by adding the ball into your repertoire and bringing your knee to your opposite elbow.

RELATED: Working Out and Still Not Losing Weight? Here Are 7 Reasons Why

Getting yourself slightly off-balance and driving that knee up will really target your oblique abs (those hard to reach side abs). Plus, with the right playlist, you can pump those legs to the beat of your favorite song to make this just about the best move ever.

Stability Plank Knee Crunch

1. Get into plank form with your hands on the ball and abs, legs and bottom squeezed real tight.

2. Drive your right knee up, keeping your hips out of the air, bringing your knee to your chest.  Make sure your hips stay square, facing the ground.

3. Repeat using the left knee and continue going back and forth. Try and go at a decent pace like a mountain climber and keep your back flat to maintain that form.

4. Perform the plank for 30 seconds to 1 minute to get that heart rate up and tone that core.

'Strong Evidence of Foul Play' in Bobbi Kristina Brown's Drowning, Claims Aunt

Nick Gordon Being Investigated for Bobbi Kristina's Drowning: Aunt
Bobbi Kristina Brown's aunt, Leolah Brown, publicly claimed on Saturday that her niece's boyfriend, Nick Gordon, is under investigation for "attempted murder" in connection with the 22-year-old's drowning.

Brown made the claim on Facebook after it was revealed that Gordon would be taking part in an intervention that will be aired during an episode of The Dr. Phil Show on March 11. A source told PEOPLE that a "distraught" Brown had already checked into rehab following the appearance.

Brown's post, which was directed to Dr. Phil, took issue with the fact that Gordon was appearing on the show.

"Nick Gordon is under investigation for the attempted murder of my niece Bobbi Kristina Brown," she wrote. "We have strong evidence of foul play. Until this investigation is completed by law enforcement, I would ask that you or anyone else not provide this individual a platform to spin this situation to his benefit.

"If Nick Gordon does not have the courage to speak with my brother Bobby Brown and/or law enforcement about what happened the day my niece's body was found in a bathtub, he does not deserve to have a platform to speak to anyone of your caliber until this investigation is concluded," Brown continued.

Police had previously confirmed to PEOPLE that they have launched an investigation into the Jan. 31 drowning of Bobbi Kristina, but they did not confirm if Gordon was directly under investigation.

Roswell Police Chief Rusty Grant said that the police are "going to follow the evidence and see where it leads us."

RELATED: Bobbi Kristina: Her Life in Pictures

Gordon's feud with Bobbi Kristina's family – and specifically, Bobby Brown – intensified in late February when he took to Twitter to demand that Bobby allow him to see Bobbi Kristina in the hospital.

Bobby's lawyers fired back at Gordon, saying that he had failed to meet the terms of a possible visit, which reportedly included explaining the circumstances surrounding Bobbi Kristina's drowning. Gordon's attorneys claimed that Bobby couldn't guarantee access to Bobbi Kristina, so they had advised Gordon to not meet those conditions.

"Per his own words, Mr. Brown has only 'offered an opportunity to potentially meet with Bobbi Kristina' if Nick were to meet certain conditions, conditions that we, his attorneys, have advised him not to meet, particularly in light of Mr. Brown's inability to guarantee access."

A family source previously told PEOPLE that "foul play is being investigated" including "drug use and possibly cover up to remove evidence from the crime scene."

TMZ reported on Feb. 6 that Max Lomas, a friend who was with Gordon when they discovered Bobbi Kristina unresponsive in a bathtub, had seen Gordon cleaning blood stains.

Gordon and Bobbi Kristina first went public with their romance in 2012, shortly after Bobbi Kristina's mother, Whitney Houston passed away. The pair dated on and off over the years and Brown referred to Gordon as her "husband" on social media. However, Bobby's lawyers say that the two were never legally married.

A source close to the family described Bobbi Kristina and Gordon's relationship as "toxic" and "codependent."

However, the source adds that Bobbi Kristina felt Gordon was the only person she could trust, "so even though they argued, she always went back to him."

Gordon's lawyer was unavailable for comment.

You’re probably still processing Kim Kardashian and Jared Leto’s platinum dye jobs. So is TV personality Bevy Smith. The star of Bravo’s Fashion Queens stopped by the PEOPLE Now studio to share her feelings on the new Hollywood blondes.

“It’s a little shocking,” Smith tells PEOPLE of Kim’s new look in the clip above. “We’re so used to seeing her with her brunette locks. That’s how she came to fame. This blonde is a little bit jarring — once we get used to it, I think we’ll probably get into it a little bit more.”

As for Jared’s major hair transformation, Smith says she’s having a harder time getting used to it.

“Jared Leto being platinum blonde is not the problem,” she explains. “Jared Leto getting rid of those Jesus locks is the problem. What’s going to happen? Now we can’t get the man bun anymore. The blonde short crop makes him look like a [James] Bond villain, which is good for this role as The Joker.”

Whose look do you like better? Are you still grieving over Jared’s Jesus locks? Share your thoughts below.

Pioneering Documentary Filmmaker Albert Maysles Dies at 88

Pioneering Documentary Filmmaker Albert Maysles Dies at 88
Filmmaker Albert Maysles, whose pioneering documentary work chronicled some of rock music's most transformational moments, died Thursday of natural causes, Stacey Farrar, marketing director at the Maysles Center in New York City, confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.

Maysles was 88.

Maysles collaborated alongside his brother, David on films that showcased the emergent talents of such icons as Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, whose sexual charge and blues-infused sound was on display in their 1970 music film classic, Gimme Shelter.

Before that film, he also helmed 1964's What's Happening! The Beatles in the U.S.A, and 1968's Monterey Pop, where the talents and physicality of both Joplin and Hendrix came alive in an era of rock before the exposure of MTV.

Maysles had also focused his creative eye on other icons, including the aunt of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in perhaps his best-known film, 1975's Grey Gardens as well as such earlier films as Meet Marlon Brando in 1965 and later half-hour portraits of filmmakers Martin Scorsese and Jane Campion and actor Robert Duvall, The Hollywood Reporter noted of his star-filled career.

"People are people," Maysles once explained of his craft, which was marked by an intimate style, now common but then rare, where he used a hand-held camera and shotgun microphone to connect the viewer more closely.

"We're out to discover what is going on behind the scenes and get as close as we can to what is happening," he said.

Maysles had battled pancreatic cancer and had become ill about a month before his death, Erika Dilday, executive director of the Maysles Institute told Newsweek. "He died at home surrounded by his family,” she said.

Maysles, who has a train film that he co-directed set to debut at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival in April, In Transit was unapologetic in his quest for finding the innate truth in his subjects, as well as their hearts.

"Making a film isn't finding the answer to a question; it is trying to capture life as it is," he once said. "My advice for documentaries is the same for life: establish empathy."

Aviation Expert on Harrison Ford's Crash Landing: 'Everything He Did Was Perfect'

Harrison Ford Plane Crash: Aviation Expert on Actor's Emergency Landing Plan
After crash-landing a vintage airplane in L.A. Thursday, Harrison Ford is in stable condition in a local hospital.

Details of the crash at Penmar Golf Course are still under investigation, but a rep for Ford, 72, confirmed he was flying the World War II-era aircraft alone when it had engine trouble during takeoff.

PEOPLE spoke to Rick Dake of Aviation Consulting Experts, who says that given the reported circumstances, "Everything he did was perfect."

The aircraft Ford was flying, a Ryan PT-22 Recruit (the model was originally used for pilot training), is "not a forgiving airplane," Dake says. "A lot of new pilots in the war crashed that airplane. When it's slow, like the engine has stopped, it would want to flip over on its back. That alone is testament to the great ability Harrison Ford had. He made a 180-degree turn with the engine seizing up on him. He almost made it to the runway."

Dake and Ford have a mutual friend in the aviation world and Dake says the actor is "respected in the aviation ranks," known for collecting vintage aircraft and keeping them maintained "immaculately."

Of the emergency landing, Dake says the calls Ford made were spot-on.

"He was able to keep that plane away from the houses and land it with the least impact on the community. That was the best place he could have landed it," says Dake. "He was 100 percent doing exactly what an excellent aviator would do."

"Pilots of his caliber – and I've been in the industry for over 43 years – in the back of your mind you always have somewhere to land an airplane."

In a press conference, National Transportation Safety Board investigator Patrick Jones addressed the in-air U-turn Ford made to return to the airport after the troubled takeoff.

"A return to airport depends on what altitude you're at and I don't know what altitude this pilot was at, at the point and time that he chose to do that, so I have no way in knowing if that was a good thing or a bad thing," Jones said.

Jones also reiterated Ford's skill. "Flying an aircraft, whether it's this aircraft or a helicopter, it all takes experience. This is an experienced pilot."

Both the NTSB and FAA are investigating the crash.

A plane enthusiast who witnessed the crash told PEOPLE: "He had engine failure during takeoff from the Santa Monica Airport. He was on the west side of the golf course and tried to get back to the airport, so he started going east, but then he clipped a tree and fell on the east side of the golf course. During takeoff, the engine blew. You could hear it go silent, and then he banked to the left, clipped the tree and fell on the No. 8 tee."

Ford is being treated at an L.A. hospital with his son Ben, a chef, at his side.

Adds Ford's rep: "He had no other choice but to make an emergency landing, which he did safely. He was banged up and is in the hospital receiving medical care. The injuries sustained are not life-threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery.

From Julie Andrews to Carrie Underwood, 50 Years of Solving a Problem Like Maria

Sound of Music: Actresses Who Have Played Maria
How do you solve a problem like Maria? For the producers of The Sound of Music, which hit theaters fifty years ago this week, the solution turned out to be Julie Andrews.

Other actresses were considered for the part of the free-spirited nanny whose effervescence overcomes not only the grumpiness of Captain von Trapp, but the tyranny of the Nazis.

Among those rumored to have been in the running for the role were Grace Kelly, Doris Day, Audrey Hepburn and Anne Bancroft. But in the end, even the producers who wanted a bigger, more marquee-friendly name agreed that Maria should be played by Andrews. (At the time, her other role as a singing nanny, Mary Poppins, hadn't yet proven a success. She'd eventually win the Best Actress Oscar for it.)

Ever since, the role of Maria Rainer has been linked with Andrews – but she's not the only one to sing about the hills being alive with the sound of music. Lady Gaga's winning Oscar performance of a Sound of Music medley made believers of even the most loyal Andrews fans.

And come on – who would have thought we'd ever hear Julie Andrews speak the words, "Thank you, Lady Gaga?"

In light of the film's golden anniversary, we're looking back at some of the other performers who have climbed every mountain, listed off their favorite things, and reminded us that when you know the notes to sing, you can sing most anything.

Mary Martin

Seven years before Andrews played Maria onscreen, stage veteran Mary Martin was the first one to sing the part. Martin won the Tony for Best Actress for her take on Maria, and it's interesting to think about Andrews initially trying to measure up to the inaugural performance of a Broadway legend.

Patti Page

In order to promote their new show, Rodgers and Hammerstein asked the "Tennessee Waltz" singer to record a version of The Sound of Music's title song. She did so on Nov. 16, 1959, effectively becoming the first person to ever record a song from the show. Page premiered the song on her Oldsmobile-sponsored variety show to drum up interest in the new play.

Florence Henderson

Seen here performing the play's title song at the 1971 Tony Awards, Florence Henderson shows off pipes that Mrs. Brady didn't get enough opportunity to use. Henderson first played the role back in 1961, during the play's national tour.

Shirley Jones

Henderson wasn't the only sitcom mom to show off her angelic voice as Maria. Shirley Jones, mother to The Partridge Family, played the role in both 1966 and 1977. What better training could there be for leading a troop of child singers?

Petula Clark

The British songbird took on the role in 1981 – when she was 49 years old. She allegedly worried she was too old for the part of Maria, but Clark's run of The Sound of Music opened to positive reviews, capacity seating and even the real Maria von Trapp calling her the best Maria ever.

Marie Osmond

Various Osmond brothers allegedly auditioned for roles as the Von Trapp children in the 1965 film. None got parts, but Marie became Maria for a 1990s Broadway revival. No doubt she drew upon her own life experiences, growing up around all those singing siblings.

Laura Benanti

She may have played Elsa in NBC's live broadcast of The Sound of Music, but this Nashville star took over the role of Maria back in a 1998 Broadway revival.

Connie Fisher

Scarlett Johansson dropped out of Andrew Lloyd Webber's production of The Sound of Music, and four years of searching hadn't yielded a new Maria. So in 2006, Webber used a very millennial means to find an actress to star in a stage revival of The Sound of Music: a reality show. On the eight-episode series How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?, the British viewing audience got to vote on their favorite pick for the play's lead. Northern Irish actress Connie Fisher, seen here, won the part.

Carrie Underwood

Of course, American Idol alum Carrie Underwood ditched her country-western roots to belt out show tunes in NBC's live take on The Sound of Music in 2013. In the end, more than 18 million people tuned in for the three-hour telecast. (Note: This clip actually comes from a 2008 broadcast of CBS's Movies That Rock, in which Underwood first sang the play's title song.)

Maria von Trapp

Lest we forget, Andrews was portraying the onscreen version of an actual person. The real Maria was also a nun-in-the-making who began tutoring one of the von Trapp children in 1926 and married Georg von Trapp in 1927. The couple had three additional children together, and the entire family moved to Stowe, Vermont, where they founded a music camp in 1944. The Von Trapps became musical celebrities, and following the success of The Sound of Music, the real Maria appeared on an episode of The Julie Andrews Hour, where she gave Andrews a lesson in propel yodeling.

Honorable Mentions

The inspirational "Climb Every Mountain" has been covered by everyone from Leontyne Price (in 1981) to Christina Aguilera (in 2000). Shirley Bassey turned it into a No. 1 hit in 1961.

Maria's "My Favorite Things" became a Christmastime standard, despite the fact that the song isn't especially Christmas-y. It's since been covered by everyone from Barbara Streisand (in 1967) and Dionne Warwick (in 2004) to Mary J. Blige and Kelly Clarkson (both in 2013).

Also, you haven't lived until you've heard "Edelweiss" sung in Chinese.

And finally, Kate McKinnon's Saturday Night Live performance as Maria may have been upstaged by Kristen Wiig's as Dooneese, but it's worth noting that this comedic actress could hit all the right notes.

Chris Soules Will Become 12th Contestant on Dancing with the Stars

Dancing with the Stars: Chris Soules of The Bachelor to Be 12th Contestant
Right after he snags a bride, Chris Soules is going to go after a mirror-ball trophy.

PEOPLE has confirmed that Chris Soules will become the 12th celebrity on the 20th season of Dancing with the Stars. He is expected to partner with Witney Carson, the reigning champion.

A spokeswoman for ABC declined to comment.

Soules certainly won't be the first bachelor (or bachelorette) to kick up his heels on the ABC franchise. Long before the farmer considered whether to don the Danskins, Sean Lowe hit the dance floor, as did Jake Pavelka. Melissa Rycroft also appeared on the show twice.

Soules, who will choose his bride March 9 on The Bachelor finale, will be joined on the dance floor this season with Shark Tank's Robert Herjavec, singer Patti LaBelle, model Charlotte McKinney, football player Michael Sam and Rumer Willis, among others.

Dancing with the Stars returns March 16 on ABC.

Lady Gaga Nearly Blinds Us While Flashing Her Massive Engagement Ring While Drinking Champagne: See the Photo

happy life ????

Loving that ring!

Lady Gaga is still perched high on cloud nine after her Valentine's Day engagement to Taylor Kinney. The "Applause" singer, 28, showcased her massive heart-shaped diamond ring — featuring his and her initials made out of diamonds on the band — in a new pic via Instagram on March 3.

"Happy life," the pop star wrote in the caption. Gaga revealed a close shot of her hourglass figure in a nude corset while holding the stem of a champagne glass.

The Chicago Fire star, 33, popped the question with a 15-carat Lorraine Schwartz sparkler after three years of dating. Gaga told Access Hollywood that her beau first proposed with a ring that was less than glamourous.

"First he gave me a Ring Pop. That was kind of amazing and I was crying, I was so excited," she revealed during the Oscars 2015. "I said, 'Yes!' right away and then he pulled out the heart-shaped diamond."

Chris Soules's Bachelor Blog: 'I Knew Things Were About to Get Very Real'

The Bachelor: Chris Soules Blogs About Women Tell All
Chris Soules is The Bachelor! After a bittersweet exit from Andi Dorfman's season of The Bachelorette, the farmer from Arlington, Iowa, is searching for love once again on ABC's hit franchise. Chris, 33, will be blogging for PEOPLE.com every week about the women, the dates and the difficult decisions he'll make on his journey to love. So check back every week, and follow Chris on Twitter.

Women Tell All. That's what they call it, and that's what it was. Those women told ALL! This was very much their show, and – because of that – I'll keep this blog short and sweet.

Now, contrary to what you might think, I wasn't in the audience or hanging around behind some curtain watching it all go down. I was back in my dressing room, throwing on a tie, leisurely checking out a copy of Chris Harrison's new book and wondering which one of my beautiful ex-girlfriends was going to make me sweat it out there on the stage. I had no idea it would be more nerve-racking than I could have ever imagined. Have you ever been confronted by 17 of your ex-girlfriends? Yeah, didn't think so! It was rough!

Let's start with the fun stuff. Crashing the viewing parties was a blast. I'd seen them do it on previous seasons of The Bachelor, and it was something I was really excited about. Boy do these Bachelor fans go all out with these viewing parties. Oh, and what you didn't get to see is that a couple of my brothers-in-law came with me. I think they might have enjoyed themselves as much or more than I did!

Okay, the Women Tell All. Let's talk. These women really went after each other. It was eye-opening seeing all of that, especially because most of the time during the course of the season I really had no idea what these women were saying to each other when I wasn't around. I mean, I knew there was friction between Britt and Carly, but I really had no idea it was that bad. Whose side am I on? No way am I going to choose a side; I refuse to get in the middle of that one! More on Britt later though.

So much talk about Kelsey that I don't even know where to start. As I've said before, I don't think Kelsey is a bad person. Did she use her story to maneuver herself a little here and there? Yeah, probably. But she's also been through so much that I don't think I can possibly understand how I would respond in her situation. Hearing her say that she feels like she is grieving all over again is heartbreaking. I guess I just choose to give her the benefit of the doubt, no matter what anyone says.

Ashley S. Still beautiful. Still a little crazy. As they say, there are many layers to an onion. And to a pomegranate. And Ashley S. has many, many layers. I know I'll never quite get to all of those layers, and that's okay. I love onions. And pomegranates. Regardless, I think she is a great girl!

Okay, let's get back to the serious stuff. Backstage, I was sweating it pretty good. I remember taking a couple extra breaths before I went out there, knowing how hard it was going to be to see all those women there. And when Britt came up and sat down next to me, I knew things were about to get very real. Could you see me sweating? I was sweating!

Then it was Kaitlyn's turn. When my favorite girl from Canada started in, the sweating turned to something more like a deluge. I did my best to explain why I let her go that day in Bali, but I was just grasping for words, thoughts, anything. "Throwing darts at a dartboard in the dark?" I don't even know what that means! I just know saying goodbye to Kaitlyn was brutal. We had an undeniable connection from the very beginning, and saying goodbye to Kaitlyn was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.

When I woke up that morning after spending the night with Kaitlyn in the Fantasy Suite, I could not have imagined a scenario where I would be sending her home at the end of the week. It simply was not a consideration. But somehow, at the end of the week, my feelings for the other women were simply stronger. Kaitlyn is beautiful, smart, strong and sensitive. Any man would be lucky to win her heart. I know a lot of people think she should be the next Bachelorette. If she is, there will be some lucky guys pulling up in the limos that first night.

Just when I thought I was in the clear, Jade came and sat down next to me. So continued the sweatfest. It was so hard watching her so tearful. And yes, I did mention in the blog here that her hometown date was "disturbing," but that was a poor choice of words. I was more "taken aback" than I was "disturbed," and that had nothing to do with the risqué photos and videos she showed me. Her family just told me so much about this other side of Jade, a side I'd never seen even though we had been dating for a couple months. Jade, I wasn't "disturbed," and I'm truly sorry I didn't choose my words more carefully.

When I finally got backstage after the Women Tell All, I just sat down and poured myself a drink. I needed it. Those women did not hold back, and nothing could have prepared me for that. While I was sitting there sipping my whiskey, the publicists kept asking me if I was ready to do a few interviews, and all I kept saying was, "Give me a few more minutes." Eventually I gathered myself, finished my drink and headed in to meet the press. The women gave me their best shots, and, while a few of them stung, I eventually recovered.

So ...

Next week everything comes to a dramatic conclusion. I bring both the girls back home to Arlington to meet my family. My family and their opinions mean so much to me. Bringing the girls home to meet them was definitely something I needed to help me in the conclusion of this journey. Will I get down on one knee? And, if I do, will she say yes? Yeah, you guessed it – you'll have to stay tuned to see what happens!

As always, thanks for reading,
Chris
